Emanuel Women's Correctional Facility, Swainsboro, GA

IHI works to provide service via preaching at least once a month in Sunday evening worship service (before the pandemic), baptismal services, and much needed toiletries on a periodic basis. We are in the process of providing weekly bible study sessions via Zoom.

Emanuel is a medium security facility that houses 415 adult females who have been convicted of felonies. The inmates are held in an open dormitory setting. Offenders can take various vocational classes to learn skills in cosmetology, small appliance repair, culinary arts, baking, clerical work, custodial and grounds maintenance.

Adult basic education, literacy, and GED courses are also available to inmates who may benefit from the courses. The chaplain's office offers worship services, a choir, dance teams, and bible studies.

IHI supports this ministry, financially, monthly as it is indeed “good ground”. MTTM has always supported IHI especially in Europe with participation in our annual conferences and small group bible studies among the ladies (GALs) in their centers. Our intent is to provide even more support to the wives of the center directors in the very near future.

Freedom Outreach is a Ministry to the Military that serves and ministers to members of all branches of the uniformed military services and their families. In addition, the Organization regularly serves military veterans, expatriates, host country nationals and their families through a variety of both traditional and innovative methods. Services are currently delivered at diverse locations in the USA and in 17 different countries.

Retreats and training conferences are a vital part of Freedom Outreach, especially in overseas areas. These help to connect those stationed far from each other on foreign soil, as well as in the U.S., to other believers and expose them to excellent training, teaching, fellowship, and vibrant worship. Every effort is made to provide the best available program to make sure these events are deeply impactful to our military men and women and their families.

In the United States Freedom Outreach is available to network with and provide resources to churches and para-church organizations located near U.S. Military facilities. Alumni from overseas centers, veterans, and active-duty military men and women assigned in the U.S., frequently will look for a church that is connected with the Freedom Outreach overseas. These are designated variously as “Military Contact and Military Outreach Churches.”

Yarl’s Wood IRC Centre is a fully contained residential center housing adult women and adult family groups awaiting immigration clearance to stay within the UK. If the detainees do not get their clearance to stay, they are deported back to their country. Some of the women are seeking asylum because they are fleeing from desperate situations e.g., war zones, human trafficking etc. At present Yarl's Wood is no longer being used as an Immigration Removal Centre (IRC) for women and has been repurposed to house Channel migrants, however; the government has also decided to still use part of the facility for women. They are in the process of upgrading and working towards these changes adding more security etc.

They currently have ten women onsite, and Beauty for Ashes Ministries (Samantha Roach) will be allowed to continue pastoral visits as well as a bi-weekly small group bible study (GALs Group). IHI continues to support this ministry.
